Just some fun times!

I almost peed my pants this morning! Caleb came out of his room wearing only his underwear and Cambree's winter hat! He started dancing around doing a little jig singing: "it's almost Christmas time, it's almost Christmas time!" WHAT? This kid is totally nuts, I know something is wrong with him if he doesn't make me laugh everyday by the things he does or says!

It was Lindon Days this past week and we thought it would be a fun adventure to go to the rodeo. We got there and it started pouring rain. We took cover under a 2ft little hangover under a building. After the rain stopped we waited for them to grade the arena and then they got started...just in time for it to pour down again! So we watched one rodeo event from the car. Caleb still says he had so much fun. (All we did was get sopping wet!) It was still a fun adventure

So this month it is $2 Tuesdays at Thanksgiving point and we took the kids to the Dinosaur museum last week. They had a blast. I love cheap, fun entertainment. We went with Me-ma and Uncle Landon which always makes it really fun too!

Diggin in the sand and water! Caleb told me-ma that he needed to go home to get his shovel!

She screamed when she had to get out of the sand. She was having a blast. Dad, on the other hand.....

So a typical day at our house involves getting into the cupboards and playing with the Tupperware and the pots and pans. They mostly end up as hats and noisy toys to bang together. This literally happens EVERYDAY!

So, this daily activity totally frustrates Brandon and I. So the other day we were so frustrated from telling the kids to get out of the cupboards and they were not listening. Brandon says, "well, if you can't beat em, join em!" and he gets a bowl and puts it on and they all danced around the house! Do you see the NUTS that I live with?!!? Never a dull moment

Madrigal Reunion

Last night I had a Madrigal Reunion at our house. It was SO fun to see everyone again after 7 years. We had a pretty good turnout, I was very impressed. We sang songs, watched our old video we made and reminisced! Thanks for coming everyone! Let's not wait another 7 years.

American Idol Auditions

We went to the American Idol auditions this week. It was CRAZY! We arrived at 5am. It was a very long day. So many people were there. We met some really fun people who were excellent singers. We actually got to be in the opening sequence for the Salt Lake auditions. So watch for us when the show airs in January. We got to see Ryan Seacrest!! so cool!

Brandon's reaction to see Ryan Seacrest!

Here he goes to try out!

The audition process was lame. They put up these little curtains and at each table 4 people would go up and sing their song. Then they would either say no to all 4 people or they would choose 1. Well in Brandon's group there was a girl who had been professionally singing for years now. She has been in a group with an agent and record deals and everything. So they were so stuck on her that they didn't even really listen to anyone else in the group. So Idol is a no-go, we will have to make our millions by winning the lottery i guess!

Even though he didn't make it we still had a good time!

24th of July

For the 24th of July we did a little firework show before we went to bed. Cambree wasn't to thrilled but Caleb thought it was the coolest thing in the world! We all wore matching shirts for the day. Caleb wants every day to be a firework day.

Cabin summer 08

Well, we were able to take another trip to the cabin. Once again it was so much fun. I think being at the cabin and being with Papa, Dave and Landey is Caleb's favorite thing to do. While we were there Caleb and Dave built this little bench just for Caleb. They put it right next to the pond and they call it the Caleb bench. So Cool!Caleb also got to work on the tree house.

My dad sold his 4-wheelers so this trip we rented a 6 seater ranger and we all went on a ride, Grandma, Cambree and all! It was really fun to be able to go all together. Later that evening the big kids took Caleb on a ride up to a lake where they saw a moose and it's calf. The next morning I got to go (at 5:30 am) for a morning ride and we watched the sun set. It was beautiful, and freezing!

So relaxing

Caleb and Landon

Papa even let Caleb drive the Ranger. What a big boy

Caleb got a fishing pole for his birthday so we put it to good use! We went to a little pond and caught fish after fish. Caleb loved it!

The first time he cast out Caleb caught his first fish! He keeps telling us he want to go back to go fishing with Uncle Dave

Bear Lake Fun

Well we took our annual trip to Bear Lake, and it was as blast! Brandon's family has a house up there that we all stayed at. There were 14 of us and there was never a dull moment. My girl's gotta have her shoes!

We were really proud of Caleb for getting in the water. He has had a fear of water and we are slowly coming out of it. He even went out where it was deeper and kicked his legs, and used his arms. He was quite a little fish. Way to go bud! I am proud of you for trying it out!

As you can see, we are finally getting some more teeth. There are now almost 4 on top.
Grandma and Grandpa Hart and the grandkids!

Caleb loves Grandpa Hart and we found him constantly following him around! He loved having a matching hat and glasses like grandpa!

Ms. Hollywood

Across from the Bear Lake house there is a little field and park with some swings that the kids loved to play on

The sprinklers at the park provided some great entertainment! Everyone was soaked and having a great time!

Classic face! This is Caleb's cousin James
SOAKED!

The first night we got to Bear Lake we took a drive up the canyon and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. It was really fun but the mosquitoes were horrible and we came home with a few friends (ticks! UGGHHH). It was beautiful up there, always a good time!

We brought Caleb's new fishing pole. There was no hook on the end, just a weight. So all he was able to do was cast it out and reel it in. But that was all he needed to make him happy!

Bear Lake was such a blast! We can't wait to go back next year. We will miss the late nights of playing games, the inside jokes and all the laughs! Who says we have to wait until next year, lets do it again soon!

Fun in June

Grandma and Grandpa Hart, Jenny and Daniel came to town from Indiana. The kids loved seeing them. We took them to a little park that had a fun little fountain and wading pool. It was a good way to cool off on a hot day!

Well, this is our first attempt at 2 pig tails! So CUTE!

Everyone came to town because Brandon's brother Jacob got married! We are excited to get to know Cindy even better and we are excited she is a part of our family! Congrats you two!
