Caden's 2 weeks stats

Caden just went to his two week appointment and here are his stats:

9 lbs 11 oz
22 in

So, as I see it, we have two options here:
1. We start his training for the NBA/NFL
2. We join the circus as the "World's Biggest Baby" (Maybe we could set up shop next to the Bearded Lady!)

yell now, laugh later

So the other day I sent the kids outside to play. They were playing great together so I thought I would make a phone call before I checked up on them again. While sitting at the desk I see a naked kid running around the back yard. I jumped out of my seat just in time to see Caleb and Cambree running around the yard in their birthday suits. Cambree was staunch naked, and Caleb still had his underwear on. I yelled for the kids to get inside right that minute and proceeded to reprimand them. I asked Caleb what he thought he was doing outside in his underwear.....this is what he tells me: "mom, I just wanted to be like one of those guys who mows the lawn with his shirt off!" I couldn't help but laugh! I still don't know what Cambree's excuse was ???? I guess there is nothing like feeling the wind beneath....your cheeks!! Sorry neighbors!

Here are some Awesome "Warrior" pictures. The kids like to put the letters together and wear them as armor and fight each other. They crack me up.....

Atleast it is educational fighting......right??

more Caden

Here are some more pictures of Caden. He is growing so much and looking more and more like Caleb! 10 days old

We got some pore pictures from the hospital stay that I thought we would share.

We are loving every minute of Caden. He is a good eater and a pretty good sleeper so we can't complain. We think he is a keeper!

One more monkey added to the bunch!

Caden Spencer Hart
Born: Thursday May 28th @ 2:06pm
8 lbs 14 oz (a.k.a. TANK) 20 in

On thursday morning I went in at 7:00 am to be induced (one week early). They started me on the pitocin and things were going just fabulous! I got an epideral when I was dialated to almost a 5 and could not feel a thing! So things were progressing just great at a great speed. My nurse came in to check me and I was at a 7. She had to be somewhere else and had another nurse come in to check me not long after she checked me. I had told her that once I hit a 7 or 8 to keep a close eye on it because it doesn't take long once I hit that point. So the other nurse comes in and checks me...I am an 8. She was having trouble finding the baby's heart rate so she just waited for my nurse to come back. My nurse hurries in, checks me again and I am a 10, 100% efaced and the baby is in major distress. She tells me to start pushing ASAP. She runs out of the room, tells them to call for my dr. and the resperitory nurses from the nursery. I don't really know what is going on, I am just focused on pushing this baby out. Within a matter of seconds he was here! He was delivered by my nurse, another nurse and a midwife that was standing in the hall. My dr. couldn't make it in time. He got there right as all the commotion was over. Luckily my nurse was fabulous and knew what she was doing. She did a great job of keeping us calm. Because he came down so fast the umbilical cord got stuck around his neck. I went from being dialated to an 8 and him being born in just a few minutes. He was VERY pale and having trouble breathing. They actually took the oxygen off me and gave it to him right away! Then he started to cry, then I started to cry! It was such an intense and scary situation that I was just so happy to hear him cry. They let me hold him for a few seconds and then took him away to make sure everything was ok. After all the excitement, he is very healthy and doing great.

Yes, I am just as in shock as you are.....8lbs 14oz! We have nicknamed him TANK!

First family photo together. The kids are really good with the baby. I have been surprised by how well everything is going....so far! They are great helpers and love to be right by his side.

Caleb is so proud! Anytime Caden cries Caleb runs right over to him and says, "it's ok little buddy, Caleb's here" (well, that is what he says most of the time) The first day we got home Caden did a little whimper, not even a cry and Caleb says, "oh my gosh, I can't take this anymore" HAHA

We think he looks just like Brandon. He is going to be a big kid. He has very large hands and feet. Basketball....here we come!

Because of all the commotion in the hospital Brandon was not able to be there for his first bath to take pictures. So we took some at home.

We are so excited Caden is here and can't wait to watch him learn and grow. Welcome to the family!!
Check back often for pictures and updates. We have some family with more pictures and will post those as we get them.

Preschool is over....Boo Hoo Hoo

Caleb's preschool has ended for the year.....He had a great year, made a lot of friends, and learned tons! He is sad that it is over for the summer, but excited that he gets to go back in the fall. They had an end of the year program where the kids sang songs and showed what they learned throughout the year. I am so proud of my little man for being such a smart kid and doing so well!

Ms. Kylee will be missed.....she is a GREAT teacher!

Here are a couple little videos that we took of Caleb singing some songs. The one where he sings the alphabet......pay special attention to the letters M and N! haha. The other one is a sign language song, and he is one of the only kids who knew the sign language. There are some other cute videos, so if you want to see more let me know and I can email you.

The newest member of our family!

This is the newest member of our family! His name is DEXTER! He is a 6 month old Shih-Apso (Shih Tzu / Laso Apso mix). He is the BEST puppy! He doesn't bark, he is litter box trained, he has all his shots, he is fixed, and he is so good with the kids. They love him to death (sometimes too much) and he is just so good about it. He knows a few simple commands and Brandon has been working with him a lot and we have been surprised by how fast he is learning to obey. What a find!!

Welcome to the family Dexter!

Cambree turns 2!

Cambree shared her birthday with Easter this year so we celebrated while we were all together. We can't believe our little baby is already 2. Time flies! She had a great birthday and loved all the singing and cake!

She got this new dress and had to try it on right away. She loves it!

Happy Birthday Big Girl!

Be sure to pause the music on the right hand side and watch this video of Cambree blowing out her candles!
